The Oxford Index for Engineering showed continued growth for Q1 2016, with an index of 110.
Among the engineering skills in highest demand, hardware engineering ranked the second highest, just behind electrical engineering, with an index of 111.
Results of our study for Q1 2016 are based on 144 engineering managers’ responses from across North America.
The two-year trend for hardware engineering was more optimistic in 2015 in comparison to 2014, and 2016 is continuing the positive trend, as shown in the graph below.
