The Oxford Index is a quarterly survey of projected demand for healthcare IT consultants conducted by Oxford Global Resources.

Results of our study for Q1 2012 are based on 48 healthcare IT managers’ responses from across North America.

For Q1 2012:

40% of respondents expect an increase in their use of healthcare IT consultants while only 17% anticipate a decrease.
40% anticipate no change in use of healthcare IT consultants.
The resulting Oxford Index for healthcare IT consultants rose to 122.9, suggesting continued strong demand for healthcare IT consultants in Q1.

The specific types of healthcare IT consultants in greatest demand include Epic, Cerner, McKesson, and MEDITECH.
